CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd., the birthplace of China’s metro transit and EMU (Electric Multiple Unit) industry, traces its roots to the former Changchun Passenger Car Factory, established in 1954 as part of China’s First Five-Year Plan. The company was restructured into a joint-stock corporation in March 2002.
